The 1619 Project | Series Launch

Hulu’s six-part docuseries The 1619 Project is a series of epic scale, exploring the impact of slavery on every aspect of modern American life.  Our partners at Hulu wanted to introduce viewers to the groundbreaking docuseries in a way that was accessible to mainstream audiences, and also felt culturally genuine to African-American viewers.

Kaleide’s role in the launch of the docuseries was extensive, with our team creating a :90 sec intro to the premiere episode, six :30/:15 launch spots, ten :30/:15 episodic spots and six :30/:15 combo spots. We were exceedingly proud to play a part in bringing this important examination of the African-American experience to the Hulu audience.
